The History of Kidz Paradise
LaVenre Johnson had a dream of owning her own childcare center. In 2008, she opened a Family Childcare Program out of her Home in the Reading, PA area. Due to her kind heart and love for children, she began to outgrow the home facility and began to explore her options.
LaVenre found the site where Kidz Paradise now stands, starting fresh with a large, open, empty building. In May of 2012, Kidz Paradise opened for business to the West Lawn, Shillington, Sinking Spring area starting out with only 6 students enrolled in the program.
In June 2013, Kidz Paradise enrolled in the Keystone STARS program with a STAR 1 designation and approximately 45 students enrolled. By October 2013, Kidz Paradise reached a STAR 2 designation with around 65 students enrolled in the center. In December 2015, Kidz Paradise received a STAR 3 designation and continues increase enrollment.
Finally, in December 2020, Kidz Paradise attained a STAR 4 designation and continues to find ways to improve on the program to provide the best care possible to the families we serve. The goal of the program is to help provide a loving, educational environment where the children can grow and thrive.
